Briton Ferry Silver Band is based near Neath in South Wales, and is currently graded in the second section locally and third section nationally.
The band is currently enjoying one of the most successful periods in its history. Over the last few years, we have progressed steadily from the 4th section, securing many contest prizes along the way. The highlights have been our appearences at the National Finals in 2001 and 2002.
The secret of this success has undoubtedly been the hard work put in by the players and conductors alike. We are a very dedicated and ambitious band, enjoying full rehearsals on a regular basis. However, although we take our music making seriously, we also make sure we have lots of fun doing it!
